How do I prep my client before sending them a data entry request?

What your client will need to have for data entry depends on the method they choose:

  1. QuickBooks Online: If they are going to use QuickBooks Online, all they need is a QuickBooks username and password.
  2. Tax Document Uploader: If they are going to upload tax returns via our Document Uploader, they will need preferably three years of returns, but at least the most recent year (2022).
  3. Manual Data Entry: If they are going to manually enter information, they will need to know three years’ worth of Profit & Loss information, and the most recent year’s Balance Sheet. Most of this is located on they're tax return or can be shared by a bookkeeper and/or finance employees in the firm. The information needed to fill out is listed below:
